About

Hi! I am a New Yorker, born and bred in Chinatown. When not traveling, you can find me in lower manhattan falling off the skateboard I bought myself for my birthday. I graduated from St. John’s College in Annapolis with a degree in philosophy and I’m still an avid reader who can’t think of a cozier place than a used bookstore. Recently, I’ve been spending more time with my film camera, obsessing over Japanese garden design, and learning to craft the perfect mezcal Negroni while bartending at Mr Fong’s.

I am Black, Chinese, and Italian, and proudly identify as a mixed person. I am interested in exploring mixed identity as a concept and I’ll talk about it to whoever will listen. I am currently working on a full length script where a fictionalized version of myself explores her mixed identity by following the breadcrumbs left by her ancestors, both real and imaginary. I also work as an actor in live DEI workshops, and it brings me great joy to use my skills to support a more equitable and anti-racist future.

During the pandemic I worked on a horse farm in Western Massachusetts, bought a bus and drove all around the mountain west, and lived in Mexico for three months. It feels great to be back in the city and working with fellow creatives. I wake up every morning over the moon that my career is also the thing that I am the most passionate about in life - making art with other people that speaks to our shared humanness, reminding us that we’re all in this together.
